I will be away for awhile.

Saw this in Comic's Collection. o0
Isn't it weird? Chopper with the Merlion
It's like Chopper came to Singapore or something.

I apologise (though I'm not very sure to whom) for not updating as often as I could have.
But right now, I have an extremely important announcement to make.
I'm going Japan!!

Finally!!!

After such a long time of planning T-T

Yay!!

I'm flying tomorrow night, and I have yet to pack my bag. D=
Going with friends and seniors from my Japanese culture club.
We'll be going Tokyo and I'll be eating lots of Sushi and Ramen =]
I think I have waited long enough, really can't wait for tomorrow.
So, please look forward for my update on the trip ^^
(I try to remember to take lots and lots of pictures)

By God's grace, I have very healthy nails and a good set of teeth (with a little chip off on my front tooth, but the fault is my own)
I would always feel very unjustified when someone older comment on how tender looking my hands are, and then they would say that I must have been very pampered and did not help out with the housework.
And my traitorous brain would shut down and make me unsure of how to response. (Like always)
Only after I got home, do I realize why the comment bothered me so much.

I admit that I don't do much housework, my room is always in a mess and my bed is made only once in a blue moon. But I do help when my parents needed them. Sometimes I cook and often would wash the dishes, other times I would sweep the floor when the my sister's and my fallen hair starts to bother me. The reason why my hand doesn't look wrinkly is mainly because I'm a healthy 21 years old, who looks way younger than her age. How do they expect my hands to look like? Like a homely and mature person who is full of responsibilities, when my face lies to people that I might be in secondary school?

It is really unfair to judge how much housework a person does with her hands. If it is really necessary to judge, then at least when I'm 30 years old or something. By then, time and age would have definitely left a considerably amount of scars from the sun and all, and if my hands still look like a 20 year old, then I would probably admit that I'm a pampered and spoiled princess at home. If not, then I'll be a nice person and share with you the secret of the extremely wonderful and miraculous hand cream I'm using.

This is not me. She's my sister. My younger sister.

Bought some new shades for us both for the trip. She is going Batam with her friends next week too.

And the below is me, from a few years back.

Found some photos when I was still in JCG.

It was our self proclaimed braids day. Wearing blue is just a coincident.

This is my dear friend Anna, we went to Universal studio when she came back to Singapore a few years ago. I pray that you are doing well and looking good as ever =]

This update sure is random.
Oh wells.

God bless you and our trip to Japan. =]

Welcome to May Day!^^

Through the past few weeks, I have been busy like mad.
And after that, I have been tired like mad.

And finally when life goes back to normal (like right now), I don't know know what I was busy with.
Didn't think that I have anything to share.

That is, until I checked the pictures in my phone...
haha... It's good the have photos to help with remembering.

So here are the random stuff, but mostly food.
Tonkatsu set. The meat is very juicy and moist, very crispy on the outside.
The sauce and miso soup is awesome as well ^^

The two above is from Ma Maison Hawaii. Really like this place so much.
My friends ordered their strawberry pancakes for desserts and they come together with guava syrup, maple syrup and coconut syrup.
Really interesting.

My sister. Btw, I didn't take this picture, I'm not a stalker.
She sent it to me herself.
There was once she took a picture of herself acting cute and saved it as my phone as screensaver.
And I only found out some time later. = =

This one is from Itacho at plaza sing, while celebrating Joanne's birthday.

My aunt sent this to me. Looks delicious. Wonder where is the store...

Went to Hoshino Coffee with my seniors, the group that is planning to go to Japan together.
Yes, I'm going to Japan! Finally!
I don't drink coffee, but they said the coffee is good.... but I don't drink coffee.....

Seafood pasta.
The menu in Hoshino coffee is very limited, but all the food taste so nice.
If you are ordering pasta, I strongly recommend the lobster-somewherealongtheline.
It has a very rich and powerful flavour, which makes it so unique and different from others.

This one is from Lenas at Tampines 1.
I am a fan of their Lasagna and Cabonara, all the cheese makes me happy.
The chocolate makes me happy too.

My second try on making our TPJCG stamp, and it looks nice. =]
Carving stamps should be my hidden talent.

Just a few days ago, meeting some good old friends whom I seldom have the chance to meet.
Feels good to just sit down and talk about anything under the sky. =]

My very cute LG mates.

And the crazy seniors facilitating a workshop for our juniors.
It's been awhile since we participated in some camp.

It's mostly food and people.
We just can't live without them right?
God bless.

Being Upset.

Sometimes I frown, but I'll not realized it until someone points it out to me, telling me to relax.
It's not something that I can control, frowning.
Besides, I don't see my own face all the time, so I don't catch myself with my expressions.

I messed up at work today. Or the past few days, and today I am experiencing the effects of it.
As I probably had mentioned before, I am a logistics planner.
My job is to make sure to have everything ready for the company's production.
Ordering raw materials, production scheduling, stock take and ensuring everything is in place for packaging.
Make sure we have OPP Film, small packaging boxes, triple-wall boxes, pallets and other packaging  for all the different products.
(and different products have different requirement for their packaging)
And I missed out one of them.
For an urgent product on top of that.

I have been here for half a year.
I shouldn't be making these kind of beginner's mistakes.
It felt so terrible.

I'm upset at my incompetence.
It seems that my colleagues who are mostly older than me by decades became worried about me, knowing that I'm upset.
They told me to relax, don't worry, don't stress myself.
But how can I not?
And they should be upset at me too.
(Like my boss who is ignoring me right now)

No matter what, Thank God for them.
And Thank God for his backing and deliverance.
God brought us through.
Thank God for the suppliers as they have stock or else we would have to be stuck for one week. (Urgent product)

I should thank them properly, my colleagues.
Thank them for not putting more pressure on me, looking out for me and worrying for me.
I should apologize to them properly too.
For causing them trouble, making them worried, and my incompetence.
But God, you know that your servant is not good with words.
And you know that your servant is not good with expressing.
I want to write a card to them, but I don't have paper.
Besides, I think it will be more sincere to thanks them face to face.

What do I do?

People: The Major Frustration at Work (Or anywhere else)

Of course, it is just one of the many problems we face when we are working (or anywhere else).
But it is the most frustrating, most damning, most irriatingly annoying bother you could ever know.

People!!!

They always manage to find ways to poke at you,
making you want to pull out your hair,
bury them deep down into the earth,
turn them into back into babies,
scream some sense into them,
cut off their tongues,
shut down your brain,
pour sleeping powder over them to make them go to sleep and hopefully never wake up.
And face palm.

I'm telling you, even a nice person like me don't have the patience to handle such exasperating creatures!
Really! Sometimes, they are just a big pain in the ***.
Be it your boss, colleagues, customers, family and people whom you call friends.

~phew
Now that the truth is out, I feel more relieved and calmed.

As I was saying, People are really difficult to handle.
At least, for me, at my work place.

Example #1

It is your job to pass on a message, and this person simply can't hear you.
The first time I repeat, probably because I spoke too softly.
The second time I repeat, probably because I spoke too fast that he didn't catch me.
The third time I repeat, probably due to his older age, he is a little deaf.
The fourth time I repeat, did i say something wrongly?
The fifth time I repeat, I shall be patient.
The sixth time I repeat, I give up, I'll write instead.

Why can't they just get it?
????????????

Example #2

I'm really busy now, so I'll get back to you later.
So much to do, so little time.
Don't even have time to drink some water or go to the toilet.
*Yells my name across the office* Heck, you are not even my boss!
Put down the things I am doing, walked over and asked what's wrong.
Asked a question and I answered. All good, I'll go back.
*Sit down* Alright, where was I?
*Yells my name across the office again*
And the cycle continues.

Seriously?
This lady is not my boss, we are in a totally different department.
She cannot wait.
Even if you are on the phone, she'll just scream her question at you till you answered her
(Even when she knows that you are on the phone).
And most importantly, I am not your dog.
Don't call my name and make me come to you.
If you have a question, come to me with a 'please' and 'thank you'.
Arghhh.....
She makes me want to pull all her hair out from her head.

Example #3

Just because I'm young (and look even younger),
it doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm doing, or what you are doing.
There is this elder lady cleaning for my company.
She has been here for many many years.
She nice, always smiling, sometimes she makes desserts and lunch for us.

But her words kills, and she would always finish her blow with a smile.
Please, I'm not sure what you are trying to do by constantly putting me down.
But I don't think I am your personal entertainment or joke for the day.

Of course, I always takes pride in being a nice person, so I was being very accommodating.
Maybe it is because she doesn't have anyone to talk to.
Maybe because I'm new and she does not open up easily to outsiders.
Maybe she is just lonely and needs some attention.
Maybe she is too bored and had nothing else better to do.
Maybe she does not mean to say it the way I had interpreted.
Maybe I think too much.
Maybe right?

I'm been taking hits for 3 months.
And the wall is on the verge of breaking.

Makes me want to cry.
T-T

God's second commandment.
Love your neighbour as you love yourself.

Even though they are being not very nice?
Yar.

Even though they are always finding trouble with you?
Yup..

Even though they are picking at you and waiting for you to make a mistake, so that they can make your life miserable?
Yes...

It is easy to love the loveable.
But it takes courage, love for God, to love the unloveables.
Love God's people, intentionally.

Can I love the whole world and hate a few?
I wish God would say yes to that too.
I'm a human too. I complain too. I make judgements too.

But since my God loves them so much...
*sigh~*
Loving people is so hard
I'll try again =/

Dear God,
Help me love your people, the way you want me to.
Amen.
