Breakfast at Mister Donut. The people around us raved about how good their donut is and we of course tried them too. =]
Yum!
Their subway.
With cushioned seats.
We headed to Shibuya. Shopping!!!
It is really big and we didn't where should we go. So we went to the ever so popular Shibuya 109.
They have great style. But it's quite expensive here, so we didn't buy a lot. I just bought some pretty tattoo stockings.
The girls weren't feeling very well, Joanne was still sick =[
We weren't really in the mood to shop. T-T even though we are in Shibuya.
So we decided to move forward with the plan, and we walked to Harajuku.
It's a straight way down the road, passed by many places and saw some quite interesting stuff.
Spotted the Hachiko bus. And we realized we didn't see Hachiko. What is the matter with our brains that day? Seriously, there must be a short circuit when we were heading out this morning. T-T
Hachiko~~~
The parking lots along the road.
Next to Harajuku, there is a Meiji shrine. It's a Sunday and there were loads of people.
After the first torii gate, there's a looooong walk through the path of pretty trees before we reach the main temple area.
Awesome place for photoshoots.
The water basin is outside the temple doorstep. If you are going to pray, make sure to purify yourself before going in.
Happy couples getting married. I know it looks like what the traditional Chinese would wear for a wake, but this is not!! Please don't insult their culture and the happy event.
We saw a few couples getting married there. Lucky =]
Had the chance to witness part of the ceremony.
Looking happy =]
Those giant trees with the thick rope are the sacred trees. Wishing tree.
Bonsai exhibition.
Walked too much and we were so tired, but after a short rest, we need to walk all the way out again. =[
Harajuku station. It looks so different and very cool.
And deserts.
I ordered a classic combination, strawberry chocolate and fresh cream. Super nice =]
This is cool, but I don't have anymore space in my stomach. It's a giant ball of takoyaki.
The lingerie shop is so cute, and I can't stop myself from going in. The things they sell are very cute too.
The measurement in Japan and other parts of the world are very different. In the fitting room, they have some sort of chart, but when in doubt, just ask for assistance. They staffs are quite friendly.
We didn't have much time to shop in Harajuku. Bellra and I wanted to go to the aquarium so the group split and the rest continued on shopping. While Bellra and I head to Tokyo Skytree. =]
We went to Sumida Aquarium, fourth level of Tokyo Skytree.
Pretty Moon Jelly fish that change their colours accordingly to the light shone on them.
A laboratory for the jellyfish.
I call them lazy jellyfish because it looks like their cap or head is too heavy and they are all lazing around in bed.
A fish that changes it's sex.
Seahorse.
Camouflage fish, it crawls with it's hand-like fins.
Delicious looking crab. Hahahaha...
Long neck.
At first, I thought what kind of worm is this? There is a big tank full of them. Looks like straw.
Then found out later that these are actually sea eels. But they are so tiny.
Baby sharks in the tank beside it.
They have seals too. But the confined area really don't do them justice. It's so small for them.
More turtles. I didn't know I like turtles so much. (Other than the long neck one...)
My personal favorite. The tank with everything.
Behind this tank, there's an area called Aqua Scope.
You are supposed to stick your head into the windows and you'll experience being underwater. You'll start hearing the bubbles, and observe the fish up close. Really interesting.
Maybe that's what a mermaid feels like.
Met up with the rest to go to the Planetarium.
It's cool, but I'll fall asleep if I go there a second time.
I love stars, but they speak in Japanese. I was only able to catch a few words and was lost the other time.
After that, we headed back to the hostel. Most of the shops were already closed by the time and we have yet to have dinner. =[ I wanted to eat Ramen, so Bellra accompanied me to one of the shop we saw last night. The rest ate convenient bento and turned in early.
Really like the neighborhood atmosphere at this store.
We ordered medium sized, and we couldn't finish it =[
But we did tell the cook that it was delicious and that we were sorry.
I missed the food in Japan.
That night, we met up with the other group. Wayne, Ping Ping, Castillo, Keith and Edwin.
We are staying in the same hostel and I think we were a nuisance to the other people living in the same apartment. We are very sorry for that.
Staying together and touring around Tokyo together is so much fun.
Thank God for the trip.
