And we went to this place.
We went to the Bugis branch, which is well hidden in a deep corner.
You'll probably just pass by it if you have never heard of this place.
And I'm shouting to you "This is a really awesome place!"
Level 2 of Bugis Junction, you can go up from the escalator beside Mos Burger
and turn right when you see NYDC.
It has a red wooden door, and you'll feel the difference once you walk into the shop.
Ma Maison
Love it tons!
PQ tried to make a reservation but they were full (on a weekday night)
So we went there and waited for our tables.
Around 30 mins or so.
Not bad, since we had occupied ourselves with each other's company and admiring the lovely interior.
=]
The place is small, but with our group size of 6, it's quite alright.
I just have to show you, the table cloth that every one of us adore.
Like places with candles. =]
Our orders came in timely.
Or perhaps we were to happy and excited that time passes quickly without us realising.
But I think it is the former.
This is freaking cool.
You see the tools?
I only had Escargots once before at Saizeriya, so I can't really judge if it is nice or not.
But it would be good to try, won't it?
Japanese Style Spaghetti which my friend ordered.
Prawns and scallop gratin.
The sauce is thick and cheesy.
Nice!
Here is what I got. Omu rice with beef stroganoff.
I loved it! If you are a wine fan, it is a must try!
This sauce is amazing.
Their hamburger steaks are another must tries. =]
We were in love with this shop.
The ambiance is just so comfortable to settle in.
From the ceiling beams to the decor, not forgetting the tables and chairs, all wood.
And the half way brick texture on the walls and vintage decors adds to the homely atmosphere.
The whole place is so rustic and gives a very country feel.
Feels very down to earth.
And I really really liked that a small light from the candle brings so much more warmth to the table.
Their desserts made us anticipate very much too.
Grapes are officially my favorite fruit.
Their blueberry tarts are sugary nice too. (Pun intended)
This wasn't updated in the menu (I think)
Delicious Chocolate mouse.
You can't go wrong with chocolate.
They'll give you the key, when you are to pay the bills, you'll take this to the counter.
Coincidentally, it was a gold key. A symbol of freedom for a 21st birthday. =]
Happy birthday Pei Qi.
The tarts plus the cake is too much, I felt so bloated on my way home.
We bought the strawberry shortcake from four leaves and brought it here before PQ arrives.
Although the store had a 'no outside food' sign, they still allowed us to bring it in.
Thank God for those lovely and friendly staffs.
And when my friend faked going-to-the-toilet-to-bring-in-the-cake surprise,
They initiated to accompany with a song.
My friend came back to the table, and the staffs surprised the birthday girl from behind
and we all sang the birthday song together.
So sweet of them!
Their service standards are so awesome!
Always smiling, and ready to serve.
The staffs are as warmth as the store is. =]
They are hiring.
And I don't mind joining them when my job ends. =]
Though, I know how hard it is to be working in the F&B industry.
Amazing dinner, great experience and wonderful company.
Shall go there again, and spread this place around with love.
Thank God for the place, the food, and the people.
God Bless!!
Jovey!! Remember me? Haha!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that you liked places like these!
We should hang out one day!
We can go to Antoinette or PAUL or something. :)
Yea! Of course I remember you =]
DeleteWe should do that and I really like places like this.
Do you have a recommendation??
