Full schedule on Sunday

Zy shared a very interesting event with the group of us.
Cartoon Fantasies with Sparkswinds
We were so looking forward to it.
They'll be playing music from Tangled, Beauty and the Beast,
And my favorite, Howl's Moving Castle.
Yup! Definitely looking forward to it. =]
Many other people were looking forward to it too.
When we reached there, there were just too much people,
and the concert hall wasn't able to fit us all.
They announced that they are sorry, and that the concert hall is already full,
we looked back and the audience who were still waiting in hope to get a seat,
would be able to fill up another round of concert if they had one more.
Like the many people we saw, we were so closed in getting in.
Imagine how we had felt when they brought up the 'no more seats' sign right in our face.
Why didn't they have a second round? =/
I wished they did.

Being dismissed is not very fun.
My friends and I (who had dressed very nicely for the occasion) planned what we should do next.
We walked towards MBS, and it started raining out of nowhere so we hid under the bridge for shelter.
Although we were half soaked (even with umbrellas) and it was freaking cold,
it wasn't so bad to be trapped in the rain with some great friends. =]

We visited the ArtScience Museum and decided to see their exhibitions.
It was a very surprisingly fun experience.

I'm not a history museum person, more inclined to art.
But I've got a friend who is extremely into this stuff, so we went to the Fujians: The blue ocean legacy.

Another reason why I didn't mind to go there is because they have a clay creation workshop,
which is a complimentary to the Fujians.
Always wanted to try.... =]

Messy table by the end.

My small cup.
Didn't have enough clay, so wasn't able to build it to the height I want.
It was very fun, shall try this at home again sometime.
And I saw a salt/baking soda dough recipe which looks simple enough ^^
Stupid me, left this behind after dinner T-T
I'm pretty sure it ended up in a dustbin. =[
It's okay, will make a version 2.
Not the first time leaving behind stuff, I lost my lunch box just a week ago.
Should really cultivate the habit of checking.

After that, we went to a photography exhibition.

Seriously, it looks quite creepy.

What brought us the most joy and fun is their Lego exhibition.
The Art of Brick, by Nathan Sawaya.
Awesomeness!
Hands

Swimmer

Yellow.

Was challenged to piece out a rain drop, so here is mine.

This 'Peaces' was created by donated Lego, probably from all over the world.

Cool guy, I forgot your name.

This is one of my favourite piece, the artist view.
From the painting to the stand and the Platte, the paint bottle, cabinet, and the small checked tiles.
All of it is Lego.
Amazed.

I liked that such a wide space is dedicated on a single show piece.
It had emphasized on the dramatic effect of the dinosaur.
And the lights adds a wonder mood to the whole set.

The Singapore Arts and Science Museum, Legofited.

This reflexology is is such a good idea. =]
If my kids next time have a bunch of leftover legos, shall do this. =]

Leaving a message for the exhibition. =]

One thing I love about this exhibition,
other than the pure awesomeness, clever use of medium,
and the talent to see the potential of a common thing,
is that this exhibit is so filled with positiveness.

I draw (used to), and I used to think how much easier it is to express sadness and gloom
compared to the positive energy.
In fact I have a sketchbook entirely of emo stuff.
Yet, for Mr Nathan, every single piece, he did it with good intentions.
Like the Dinosaur, not his exact words but he said when he had his first exhibition,
he saw that there were many children who came to visit.
And he wanted to do something for them, so he made a dinosaur.

There is another piece, which I don't know why I didn't take a picture of,
a green man with his worries and on his back, there was a door attached to it.
The description says something like "Give me a minute, I'll collect myself and be right back."
Oh man! His inspirations simply blew me away.

Cheering, encouraging, loving.
A real inspiration.

=]
Each artwork is accompanied by what Nathan Sawaya wrote about it.
His thoughts, how he felt, what motivated and inspired him.
He is showing his impressive lego sculptures, at the same time, he is sharing a lot about himself.
Very glad to have seen it with my own eyes.
So thank God that we weren't able to go for the concert.

And of course, an advantageous day should be closed with a great dinner.
We went to MBS for dinner.
Kraze Burger is right next the the food court.

It sells American Burgers, though I dunno why there are korean hangul in the menu.

The Idaho(?) fries and the dipping sauce. Still had no idea what it is, but it taste awesome.

My friend ordered the popular Semi-nude.
The burger without the buns.

This is what I ordered.
Biting into the burger, the first thing that hit me was their special sauce.
It is what I call Umami, together with the bacon.
Oh so nice! Heavenly =]

The sides is sweet corn macaroni, which is my first time trying.
It is weird to eat macaroni sweet, but it isn't a bad kind of weird.
Interesting =]

That's me. In the Lego exhibition.
I wanted to get a white background, but after spending so much time here,
I think I liked this the most.
Haha..

God bless!
It has been raining a lot these days,
Take care of yourselves and don't fall sick.
=]
