Took a 2 hours train ride on Tobu line to Nikko.
Saw the outskirts of Tokyo, many rice fields.
My boss told me that many families would plant their own crop, and when they have a harvest they would share or exchange it with the neighours. Such a friendly environment.
This is a blur picture, but I just want to show you a Japanese graveyard. Not sure why, but I was very fascinate by their graves. Perhaps, it's because it's so different from how we do it in Singapore. Clean, neat, spacious and basking in the sun, giving the dead all due respect they deserves.
After a nap, and some sandwiches, we have arrived at Nikko.
Weather forecast says that it's gonna be raining all day today, but we didn't have much time left in Japan, so we came here anyways. We just had to bet on it.
Much to our delight, and God's grace, the weather forecast is horribly wrong.
It was sunny and bright and very very hot. Only a few days before there was the cool spring breeze, and now it's officially summer.
Some of us changed into their costumes. It's fun, so why not?
That couple below is BenJ and Joanne =] looking cute together.
The very interesting and fun ninja house. You can't stand straight inside and everything makes you dizzy.
The streets of Edo.
That nerd looking village girl is me. T-T
I guess glasses don't go well with the costume...
After watching a ninja fight show.
We also watched a show about Oiran. My friend Nazmi got selected to participate, and it's so funny.
hahahaha.. It's really interesting, the way they talked and the way they moved. Although sometimes, I have zero idea what they are talking about, but this culture experience is really interesting.
Our last train is scheduled to leave quite early, so we weren't able to stay for very long.
On the way back, saw their water cooler. haha..
Taking the last train back even though the sky is still so bright. =[
A very peaceful looking town.
Just one stop before we go back to Asakusa, Bellra, Sindy and I dropped of at the Skytree station to go shopping and walk some more.
Level 2 is the La La Raindow Candy Land. I mean, all the sweets here looks so delicious, you've got to try everything! We wondered around until the mall announced that they were closing, then were we satisfied to leave and go back.
So interesting, I had always wanted to come here.
Swung the bat until my arms were sore, even though I haven't hit that many times.. But it was fun =]
They said slippers are ok. ^^
Thank God for the fun adventure and the wonderful people I traveled with.
