Was at Akihabara the whole day and bought tons of One Piece stuff and tons of souvenirs.
First thing in the morning was to visit the AKB48 shop, my seniors who brought us there were their fans.
Before the shop even opens, there is already a long queue outside.
So many buildings in Akihabara and don't know where to start.
Already hungry looking at the awesome food figuring, aka fake food.
As we are all from Japanese Cultural Group, and mostly from the Anime and Manga subcom, the most obvious place for us to go is Animate building. Though personally, I think the prices here were a little too much.
We went to a maid cafe for lunch. =]
The whole group of us, and a bunch of cute meido~
They also gave us door gifts which mine turn out to be cookies in a very cute and pretty packaging. ^^
Ice latte
They draw very cute characters of your choice.
Omu rice.
Curry and hamburger rice.
My mum said that it looks like children's set. Though it looks like one, it's their theme of the cafe, most items on their menu are like that.
My friend ordered for something not as cute. But the maid waitress is good in delivering the order.
Let's just ignore me for a moment, and the maid is really cute right?
Because we were a big group of 12 people (met up with the others who were travelling on a different itinerary), so we ended up taking a long long time. Food is a little late but while we were served, they performed a little show for entertainment. We were all enjoying the time.
The price is reasonable too. An entrance of 600 yen, and my lunch set which includes a drink, the bear plate (the first set), another box of cookie and a photo with a maid of your choice. Total bill is around 3000 yen.
After that, DonQ for souvenir shopping.
Lots of interesting iphone covers.
We split up for the shopping, and while waiting for the others to arrive, here is the streets of Akibahara.
The air is still cool, almost too cold. Street lights are pretty against the darkening sky.
For dinner, one of the chain stores.
Curry and mapo tofu rice.
My friend ordered cheese nikkudon, looks awesome.
Around 8+, most of the shops are closing and the street was turning dark fast.
We went to the arcade, which has tons of UFO catchers, it doesn't looks like they are closing any time soon. There was also an anime building beside it with a huge wall of gachapons (made me friends spent a fortune).
The machine below, is a free versus game machine in the arcade. Very interesting.
And we went back late at night when most of the shops have closed for the day.
Thank God for the trip and thank god I managed to get most of my souvenirs for the people around me.
